Akio work

Akio is a strong, architectural clay body from Tacoma’s Clay Art Center. It’s meant for large-scale sculpture, but I use it for large bowls and platters that require the support of a groggy clay. Akio was originally formulated for Japanese-American sculptor, Akio Takamori.
